A cake smash and splash session is designed to celebrate your baby’s first birthday. They are a brilliant way to mark this hugely momentous occasion. A whole year with your little human! Why not book this super fun session to capture your baby having fun and being cute. Once they start to toddle, they will be off! 

What exactly is this session?

So. Much. Fun. It’s very simple and a trend that started in the US and is becoming more popular in the UK. Firstly, I take the opportunity to update your family photo with your now almost 1 year old. I encourage you to have just a couple of photos with baby before they get messy. I will also take a few photos of baby alone before the cake. This can be in their cake smashh outfit or something more formal if you wish.

Then, we sit your baby down with a stunning, professionally made, butter cream covered cake 9vegan options available) and let them go to town. Giggling, messy and adorable, these photos radiate joy. And finally, I will prepare a baby sized bath to clean up and get some more photos of splashing fun. Delightful and loveable.

How do I book?

Cake Smash and Splash sessions are usually done around baby’s first birthday. If you would like the pictures and any prints you choose back before baby’s birthday, please let me know so we can book the session with enough time to ensure you have them before the big day.

A £99 non-refundable deposit needs to be paid to secure your booking. This is deducted from your final package cost which is payable at your viewing appointment.

Your viewing appointment will be booked at the end of your session for around two weeks later where you’ll come back into The Studio to view and choose your image package.
